El VIII S2B Impact Forum, the reference congress for impact economics, will be held between the November 24 and 26 to discuss the real transformation, the transition from ideas to facts, model changes and the advantages and difficulties involved in putting them into practice.

The first day will revolve around companies and startups that are being transformed. We will talk to businessmen and entrepreneurs who are driving impact and who face different challenges as they gain size.

In this first day, speakers such as Saskia Bruysten, co-founder and CEO of Yunus Social Business, who will explain her experience in which the impact-driven model can be profitable and scalable in a session with María Ángeles León, co-founder and CEO of the Open Value Foundation, or Oscar Pierre, with whom we will analyze the difficulties that the path to impact may have on a startup like Glovo.

Towards a new sustainable economic model

The second day of the Impact Forum will focus on facilitators of transformation, which provide their support to these companies and entrepreneurs, whether through acceleration, funding or regulation.

This session will be opened by Sir Ronald Cohen, father of impact economics and president of Global Steering Group for Impact Investment (GSG). Cohen, who will analyze what needs to be done to transform companies and generate a new economic model based on sustainability.

Additionally, they will participate Filipe Almeida (NAB Portugal), Stéphanie Goujon (French Impact) and José Luis Ruiz de Munaín (SpainNAB) to analyze the role of the public sector as a facilitator or even accelerator of this process of economic innovation.

And since today, more than ever, a powerful narrative is vital to build a future with the conviction that it is worth working for, references in constructive journalism at the international level such as Alfredo Casares (Institute for Constructive Journalism), Tina Rosenberg (The New York Times) and Ulrik Haagerup (Constructive Institute) will examine the role of journalism in this transformation.

Tim Jackson (Center for the Understanding of Sustainable Prosperity) will close the day with a discussion about the need for “Reshaping capitalism to drive real change”. Capitalism has been the engine of our modern societies, it has brought innovation and wealth, but it has also caused excesses, such as inequalities and environmental damage. The question is how can we put the economic engine and finance at the service of people and the planet?

Corporate impact strategies

The last day of the VIII Impact Forum Congress will bring together investors and CEOs of large companies to share ideas on the implementation of impact strategies and business model changes, while analyzing the challenges posed by this integration, the involvement of management in making change possible and the role of investment as a driver of this transformation.

Speakers of the stature of will participate in this analysis Cliff Prior, of the Global Steering Group for Impact Investment (GSG), Bertrand Badré, from Blue Like an Orange Capital, Keimpe Keuning, from LGT Capital Partners, Cristina Marsal, by Sandman. Firoz Ladak, CEO of Edmond de Rothschild Foundations, or María Peña, of the ICEX.
