European SDG Summit 2021, the European summit to promote the SDGs
From the 11th to the 15th of October, CSR Europe It hosts the European SDG Summit 2021.
Faced with the climate crisis and with weakened social cohesion, this summit is a collective and generalized call for mobilization, leadership and collective action to build a prosperous and inclusive society while pursuing an ecological and digital transition, as explained by the organizers themselves.
Among the activities scheduled for the European SDG Summit 2021, it is worth highlighting the different action-oriented dialogues between business leaders, sectoral associations, civil society and European policymakers; 4 high-level plenary sessions; 26 round tables on the SDGs to expand collaboration in achieving the SDGs; and 500 speakers high-level from different sectors.
In addition, after the launch of the European Pact for Sustainable Industry -a public campaign aimed at achieving the success of the European Green Agreement and its Climate Pact-, this year CSR Europe will launch the first Sustainable Industry Barometer, together with Moody's Vigeo Eiris.
The Barometer will provide data on the level of sustainability and the maturity of European industrial federations, demonstrating the progress made and the aspects where additional effort is needed.
